The most basic moments in the collection of articles by professor Y.I.Blinov, 2013
- Changing the unit of measurement of impact strength from J/cm2 to J/cm3 without recalculation of the numerical value was proven for the first time.
- The possibility of determining static strength* by tensile testing of metal demonstrated for the first time.
- Demonstrated the prospect of using the axial impact tension (AIT) method to determine impact strength, strength (impact resistance) and plasticity under impact fracture
- Demonstrated that knowing strength of the metal under impact fracture allows to evaluate crack resistance of the metal in construction (tube).
- Demonstrated convergence of values of impact strength of bending and impact strength of tension for steels over the temperature range from -20 0C to +200C and carbon content less than 0,2% and it is shown that in this range impact strength of bending and tension always higher than static strength* of tension.
*static strength in tensile testing is similar to impact strength in impact testing
