The most basic moments in the collection of articles by professor Y.I.Blinov, 2013

  1. Changing the unit of measurement of impact strength from J/cm2 to J/cm3 without recalculation of the numerical value was proven for the first time.
  2. The possibility of determining static strength* by tensile testing of metal demonstrated for the first time.
  3. Demonstrated the prospect of using the axial impact tension (AIT) method to determine impact strength, strength (impact resistance) and plasticity under impact fracture
  4. Demonstrated that knowing strength of the metal under impact fracture allows to evaluate crack resistance of the metal in construction (tube).
  5. Demonstrated convergence of values of impact strength of bending and impact strength of tension for steels over the temperature range from -20 0C to +200C and carbon content less than 0,2% and it is shown that in this range impact strength of bending and tension always higher than static strength* of tension.

*static strength in tensile testing is similar to impact strength in impact testing
